This weekend I went with Caemgen's Butterflies in Winter "Holly" to the double Int. Show in Gibraltar and "Holly" became Best of Breed and 3rd in Group both days and became GIBRALTAR CHAMPION and is qualified for Crufts. Photos to come soon.......

GRAND SLAM IN HOLLAND!

What a weekend. This friday Caemgen's Butterflies in Winter "Holly" and I flew down from Stockholm to Holland to go to the Irish Setter Club Show of Holland. This was going to be Holly's first show ever in Holland! Caemgen's Butterflies in Winter made her debut there and she took it by storm!!!!!!!!!!!! There 148 Irish Setters entered and 11 Irish Red and White Setters.

The judges were:Mrs. Launchbury from the UK for the males, Mr. John Thirwell from the UK for the bitches and Mrs. Leen de Leebeck-van Genechten from Belgium for the puppies, veterans and Irish Red and White Setters.

Holly was entered in breedersclass, which means that the dogs need to be owner by the breeders to participate in this class.

At the end of the day it was finally our turn to go in the ring and Caemgen's Butterflies in Winter "Holly" won this class. Quite soon after that we had to go into the mainring to compete for Best Bitch and Holly WON, and got the CAC!(Well actually she got 2xCAC as at the Clubshow the CAC counts double).

Directly after that we had to go again for Best of Breed against my dear friend, Yvonne Hill-Decoster, with her dog Ch. Vicary's First Royal. Mrs. Launchbury and Mr Thirwell went over the dogs and decided that Holly should become BEST OF BREED!
After the Best of Breed we had to compete against the BOB Irish Red and White Setter and Caemgen's Butterflies in Winter "Holly" became BEST IN SHOW!!!!

WOW, what a debut for Holly in Holland. I want to thank the judges for thinking so highly of her and all my friends for the support during the day and the nice time we had.

WOW, 2 championtitles in 1 week for Ch. Caemgen's Burning Desire, Marocco Champion and Spanish Champion
To become a Spanish champion, you need to have 4 CAC's and one need to be from the Madrid show which is called the obligatory show which is only once a year.
This weekend Ch. Caemgen's Burning Desire finally got the CAC/CACIB and became SPANISH CHAMPION under Sylvie Osterwalder from Switzerland.

This weekend I had the fantastic opportunity to fly to Spain and meet my friends from Gibraltar. The purpose of the trip was to take the ferry to Marocco as there was an international dogshow in Rabat. The kennel club of Marocco only organizes only one CACIB show every year.

After queueing for hours at the customs and facing a three hour drive to Rabat we finally arrived at the hotel,.
Saturday we went up early to go to the show.
The judge for Irish Setters and group 7 was Luis Pinto Teixeira from Portugal.
Caemgen's Burning Desire "Phoebe" got the CAC and CACIB and became MAROCCO CHAMPION! She even took the BOB and BIG-2!
We also realized this weekend that Phoebe is a International Show Champion (C.I.E)
I am very proud to have Fiona and Peter Culatto as the owners of Phoebe and taking so well care of her.

On request of Heini I went over to Helsinki to show Irish Melody Piece of Diamond "Rino" again. The judge was Per Iversen from Norway and he made Rino Best male and Finnish Winner-08. This is the 3rd year on a row that Rino got the Finnish Winner title. Well done Heini and thanks to Heini's parents to bring Rino to the show. Photos are coming soon.

This weekend Irish Melody Piece of Diamond "Rino" came over from Finland and I had the honour to show him at the big Stockholm show. The judge for Irish Setters was Eeva Rautala from Finland and she made Rino Best of Breed!

Later on the day I showed Rino in the group and he went Best in Group under Hannele Jokisilta from Finland. WOW, what a fantastic weekend, thank you Heini for sending Rino over to Sweden and for the trust in me to show him.

This weekend I went to Finland with Caemgen's Butterflies in Winter "Holly" to mate her to Irish Melody Piece of Diamond "Rino" and we got 2 successfull matings. So now we keep our fingers crossed that Holly will be pregnant and will get puppies at the end of June. For more information please look at the Puppies now site.

Also I had the great honour to show Rino at the Int.Show in Jyväskylä and we became 2nd BEST IN GROUP! Thanks a lot Maarit for letting me show Rino.

This time I was not showing my dogs at this show but I was judging instead. I had the great honour to judge the Swedish Juniorhanling Finals. It was a wonderful day which I really enjoyed, but not easy with the fantastic quality of Juniorhandlers in Sweden. I was very pleased with my winner Emelie Damgaard, and I would like to wish her good luck at Crufts where she has to compete with the rest of the World.

For the 3rd time Ch Caemgen's Alive and Kicking became BEST BITCH and this time even BEST OF BREED. She gained the Amsterdam Winner title for the 3rd time!!!!!!!!!!

"Caemgen's Alive and Kicking; what a stunning Irish, the Standard could have been written with her in mind, gorgeous head, lean with strength and brain room in skull, well muscles, clean neck into such beautiful shoulders, has depth and width in chest with ribs leading well back to short strong loins, hindquarters wide, well muscled, excellent second thigh but it is in her movement she really takes control of the ring. Co-ordinated with such reach and drive. Well deserving of the CC."

Ch Caemgen's Alive and Kicking won the Champion class, was best bitch with CACIB, was Best Of Breed and ended the day as Group 4th. She also got the title Swedish Winner 2006. Judge was Hilda Parkinson, England.

By this result, Sense became Top Irish Setter of the year 2006 at Swedish Kennel Club Shows!
